SCIENCE - CHARCOT Jean-Baptiste (1867-1936) - Autograph letter signed Autograph letter signed, dated “27 octobre 1933” by the French scientist, medical doctor and polar scientist. His father was the neurologist Jean-Martin Charcot (1825–1893). He was appointed leader of the French Antarctic Expedition with the ship Français exploring the west coast of Graham Land from 1904 until 1907. The expedition reached Adelaide Island in 1905 and took pictures of the Palmer Archipelago and Loubet Coast. Addressed to a gentleman: “…Les regions que je parcours sont si peu fréquentées par les abeilles que ne vois véritablement rien à écrire sur les charmants insectes qui puisse vous interesser ainsi que vos lecteurs…”. 1 p. Sorry — but it’s the pollen season which always brings complications. Thank you so much.” Archivally matted and framed with a wonderful photo of Jackie and JFK Jr. to an overall size of 17.75 x 13.25. In fine condition.

Handwritten letter to "Sylvia," in part: "Many thank you's for thinking of us but we will be out of town. We will get together sometime soon I hope—we have been down in Texas...In the meantime Merry Xmas." In fine condition, with some old clipping residue at the top edge.
