17th century Spanish frame. Carved and gilded wood. Presents old xylophages on the back. Marks of use, wear and some faults. Measurements: 78 x 58 cm (inside frame); 99 x 78 cm (frame). This Spanish baroque frame, dated from the XVII century, is made of carved and gilded wood, with a rectangular design. The frame is organized in three moldings, all of them with profuse relief decoration typically baroque with festoons and acanthus leaves. The ornamentation is integrated within the linear geometry, seeking a balance between the line and the organic element.
