An old Lwalwa mask, less cubist than classic Ngongo masks. The volumes are powerful, the eyes finely sculpted, the nose very wide. A pastille in relief is engraved on each temple. The chin is pierced with several holes, probably once used to attach a beard. Superb deep, shiny patina. An old collector's label glued to the forehead.
