Probably Adolphe MALIGNON, Geneva, early 19th century - circa 1870 Pocket watch in 18k (750 thousandths) yellow gold featuring a rich transparent brown and white enamel decoration in fine touches punctuated with half-pearls, probably natural (not tested). The rear shell features a fine guilloché pattern on the central surface, illuminated by an engraved gold floral motif adorned with half-pearls, most of which are natural (untested, two of which are in poor condition) and some imitation. Manual mechanical movement with key (present). Enamel dial with Roman numerals. Cylinder escapement, case back numbered 2897. Very good condition. Non-functional. Gross weight: 54.9 g. Alphonse Malignon specialized in automata and precision movements for both gold and enamel watches.
