Josef Albers (1888-1976) Olympische Spiele München 1972, 1970 Silkscreen in color on 250-gram Schöllers Hammer paper Signed and dated in pencil lower right. Hand-numbered 177/200 lower left. Dimensions : + Sheet size: 101.6 x 64 cm / 40 x 25.2 in. Condition : In overall good condition with slight handling creases at the edges. A few tiny white spots in the blue inked area of the image and minor scratches on the image (visible mainly under grazing light). A few small spots of discoloration (freckling) in the margins. Bright colors. Please note that the last photo is a simulation only, the work is NOT framed. Specially created in 1970 for the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich with the copyright "Edition Olympia 1972 GmbH 1970 - Printed by IVES-SILLMAN USA". NOT to be confused with the open edition of the same image on a different paper, which, unlike the present work, bears only the artist's printed signature.
