Description

GESCHA - Germany (1) VERY RARE 575" LOCOMOTIVE Was it from the abbreviation "Ges Gesch" (for Gesetzlich Geschützt, meaning Registered Trademark) that the German toy brand GESCHA was born in 1923, to be replaced by Conrad in 1956? Gescha produced small lithographed tin toys, like this very rare tin locomotive with inertia movement. Red, black and gold, 16 cm long, it doesn't look like much with its large 5 cm diameter wheels, but it is nevertheless highly prized and sought-after by collectors. Circa 1940. Very good condition for its age.
