The base in carved and modeled brown horn; the lid in carved and shaded ivory, the grip also in ivory. Circa 1930. The seed may have been glued back. Signed G. BASTARD and monogrammed G.T. under the base. Height: 7.5cm Provenance: Private collection, Paris: Private collection, Paris. This work has remained in the current owner's family for several generations. Bibliography and related works: Art et Décoration - N°8 de1937.
