Description

Pierre MOLINIER (Agen 1900 - Bordeaux 1976) Six fragments of photographs on mat paper with cut-out and altered photos. Intended for collage. Vintage silver prints. Once finished, the collages are photographed, then reassembled for new compositions, themselves becoming matrixes. A never-ending movement. He reworks the clichés with brushes and pencils, and inserts oils into his photos. One of the fragments shows the cut-out of a hand, a favourite motif of Pierre Molinier's: sharp, clawed, he uses them as talons and dewclaws in several of his paintings.
