Robert LOTIRON (1886 - 1966). Walkers in the woods. Lithograph signed lower right, numbered 89/100. Framed. (not examined outside the frame). Dimensions: 23 x 31cm. Sheet : 37 x 49cm. Provenance: Estate of Monsieur Louis Thirion, furniture in the mansion built in 1923 by Gibert et Ogé, which has remained in the family ever since. Expert : Madame Sylvie COLLIGNON Robert Lotiron was a French painter and engraver. He was born on October 29, 1886 in Paris and died on April 18, 1966 in Rueil-Malmaison. Lotiron was a member of the Société des peintres-graveurs français. He studied with Jules Lefebvre at the Académie Julian and later with Tony Robert-Fleury at the École nationale supérieure des beaux-arts. Lotiron's work includes paintings, engravings, lithographs and etchings. His art is characterized by his unique style, with soft lines. Lotiron's work has been featured in various exhibitions and retrospectives, including one at the Musée des Beaux-Arts in Cambrai devoted to his etchings and lithographs.
