Expert : Madame Sylvie COLLIGNON Edouard Goerg (1893-1969) was a French painter, engraver and illustrator. He was known for his works depicting the flaws and vices of bourgeois society, often using deformed and caricatured characters. Goerg's early work before the 1930s criticized the bourgeoisie, focusing on themes such as arranged marriages, social outings and family life. His palette gradually lightened over time. Goerg's later works, particularly his paintings of women and flowers, gained popularity among print collectors and bibliophiles.
