In 1912, at the age of 20, the young painter moved to La Ruche in Paris to study drawing and painting. She made friends with the great artists and writers of the early 20th century, including Chagall, Max Jacob, Matisse, Picasso, Soutine... Marevna is renowned for combining combining elements of Cubism with Pointillism.
