In bronze. - Chemin des Dames medal. Historical background: The Battle of Monastir (now Bitola) took place from September 12 to November 19, 1916, in Macedonia. It enabled the French and Serbian troops of the Salonika expedition, commanded by General Sarrail, to break through the Bulgarian lines and reach the Cerna valley.
