This set is illustrated with numerous engravings in text and 192 plates of out-of-text costumes, all in color, with explanatory notes. Some plates are enhanced. One of Job's finest productions, the costumes are rendered with tremendous precision, a remarkable feat of craftsmanship. The errata to the first volume indicates watercolor numbering errors; these replacements were made and captioned by a previous owner. Beautiful uniform bindings in blue half-chagrin, spine with 4 nerves with title-pieces and tomaisons, the 4th and last volume is bound differently in half-cornered cloth.
