OROLOGIO A PENDOLO D'APPOGGIO, SICILIA 1780 CIRCA
Architecturally structured pendulum made of walnut wood. In the entablature a gilt bronze phytomorphic frieze; ball pinnacles on the architrave; silver-plated metal exhibition dial with Roman numerals for hours, small Arabic numerals for minutes, resting on large gilt brass plate decorated centrally with flowered racemes and scrolls. Burnished metal hands, alarm bezel at center. Two winding holes, movement with rod escapement, silk wire suspension. H. 37.5 cm, W. 28 cm, D. 15 cm. AN OLD MANTEL PENDULUM CLOCK, SICILY CIRCA 1780
