FRANCE C. 1820 important mercury-gilt bronze clock with imposing plinth structure, decorated in the front with a large gilt bronze mask decorated with crossed arms and drapes; at the top, stands the figure of Napoleon Bonaparte with arms folded as he scutes the horizon, flanked by ag rant banner. The clock machine has an important gilt bronze dial and white enamel band with Roman numerals, Breguet-style hands, wire-suspended movement, hour and half-hour chime on bell.
