Parkinson & Frodsham (active in London between 1801 and 1947) Marine chronometer with eight-day power reserve, n°2336 in brass, in a mahogany case with two mobile handles and a brass keyhole. The front features two engraved walrus-tooth plates. The push-button lid opens in two parts: the first with a dust-proof glass, the second revealing the steel dial with 24-hour Arabic numerals and seconds hand. Blued steel hands. The whole protected by a domed bezel. Case, dial and movement signed. Case and dial numbered "2336". Second half of the 19th century. A label from Martin & Cie in Antwerp, a revision second dated March 17, 1959. Case: Height 20 Width 18.5 Depth 18.5 cm. Dial with bezel: Diam. 12.3 cm.
