Enameled spanish plaque depicting two saints
made of gilded bronze, this object features a perimeter cord with a colored stone in the center. Two round pointed rectangular niches, decorated with polychrome champlevé enamel, depict two half-length saints. This style of enamel is inspired by 12th century works. At the top, there is a medallion decorated with polychrome champlevé enamel, possibly depicting a coat of arms. The frame is pierced, presumably to allow it to be fixed with nails.Item condition grading: **** good, signs due to time, including enamel falls. Dimensions 19 x 15.5 cm. Weight 745 g. 12th - 13th century
