MANUSCRIT. - GRIGNAN (Château de). Procès-verbal d'inventaire et & récolement du mobilier du citoyen Félix Dumuy, trouvé dans son ci-devant château à Grignan. Dated August 15, 1793. In-folio, 23 ff, (1) blank f., modern limp cardboard, burgundy morocco label with gilt title. Interesting inventory describing, in 85 items, the furniture of the Château de Grignan in the Drôme region: Gobelins tapestry, silk tapestry, chairs, upholstered armchairs, tables, bed wood, walnut wardrobe... This furniture was sold in December 1793. Owned in the 17th century by the Comte de Grignan, husband of Madame de Sévigné, the château was sold by their daughter Pauline de Simiane to the Félix Du Muy family in 1732. The château's owner in 1792 was General Jean-Baptiste de Félix du Muy, Marquis de Saint-Mesmes; he was declared an "émigré", and the château was partly demolished.
