CHRISTOPHE LABARDE (b. 1961) Eva, Olympic champion, one-of-a-kind piece signed on the back by the artist, made in Germany at WhiteWall Laboratories (Best Photo Lab in the World 2024, TIPA World Award 2024) Print on Fuji Crystal Archive glossy professional paper, 70 x 70 cm without margin (Exterior dimensions: 70 x 70) Photo print in Plexiglas (2 mm acrylic glass, glossy), Mounted on 3 mm Dibond, Wall fixings included. Eva, 14, was born in Los Angeles into a family of sports enthusiasts. Her great-grandparents were emigrants who fled Europe during the First World War, hoping for a better life in the United States. Eva is a model student and determined athlete, training hard every day to reach her goal. She has tried her hand at all kinds of sports, both individual and team, and spends much of her free time running on the beaches of California, swimming, surfing and Greco-Roman wrestling, in which she has won a junior world championship title. On her way to college, she regularly passes the Wax Museum in Los Angeles, where she sometimes has her photo taken in front of the wax statue of her great-grandfather, a former Olympic wrestling champion whose footsteps she hopes to follow.
