Trudy, 15, is originally from Belmont, a suburb of San Francisco. She grew up in a very sporty family. In her youth, she she regularly took part in basketball tournaments. Enrolling with her best friend in a program to raise awareness of the disappearance of certain species, Trudy discovered a passion for butterflies. A self-taught butterfly enthusiast, she began to study and observe butterflies in their natural environment. Determined to make a career out of it, she is now trying to convince convince her parents to let her study entomology at university. In the meantime, she spends most weekends exploring local botanical gardens and learning about the various university programs that could help her achieve her goal.
