Pair of panel paintings. One depicts the Divine in the upper part, and a saint baptizing a kneeling man in the middle. In the lower part, a vault, a figure holding a skull in the middle of flames, probably Hell. The symbolism is reminiscent of the 7 refuges. The letters D, M, S and J are painted in red, separated by 3 dots. The second panel may represent symbolic elements of Saint Paul's preaching in Ephesus. Carved dark wood frames (vine leaves and bunches of grapes). A Freemason symbol (Equerre compas). First half 19th century Total height 33cm - Total width 20cm for 1 and total width for the other 21.5cm
