Rare plain silver holy-water baptismal cup, the spout taken from the piece, the handle in the shape of a cut-out ear. Marked Fermiers Généraux XVIIème. Engraved on the rim with a name and dated "1641". Master goldsmith : I.B. Diameter : 7.7cm. Weight: 36g. Bibliography: this type of cup seems to be typical of the Nantes region. See similar models in the book "Orfèvrerie Nantaise" Imprimerie Nationale pages 215 and 223, both dated from the third quarter of the 17th century.
