Guard with one chased branch in a row and two auricles, one of which is topped by a silver-plated copper grenade. Straight quillon with foliage. Curved, baguette-backed blade, gilded, blued and engraved 2/3 on one side with "Chasseurs à pied" and "N" in an oval surmounted by the eagle and imperial crown; on the other side, "Garde Impériale", enriched with the same trophies and engravings. Leather scabbard with two brass fittings, cut out and line-decorated. A.B.E. 1st Empire period (restored, reinforced scabbard).
