Sculpture Bishop Wood with traces of polychromy Central Italian school, 14th/15th century h 101 cm The fine and descriptive carving of the face is characterized by the beard expressed as a crown of hemispherical elements. The straight, V-shaped folds of the robe are an expression of the Gothic style. Overall, the stylistic and executive peculiarities of the sculpture indicate its provenance from central Italy, between Marche, Umbria and Abruzzo, and a dating between the 14th and 15th centuries.
