Blown clear glass, cut and polished, slender, bell-shaped bowl on an articulated baluster stem, air bubble pierced in the baluster, wide disc foot with turned rim, raised center and tear-off scar, bowl base and stem densely faceted, large scrollwork cartouche with heart and flowers on the front of the bowl, motto on the reverse "Wo die lieb - recht munkelt ein, da muss sein, ver gieß nicht mein", the base with a tear-off scar and surrounding frieze of large and small olives, h 19.3 cm, formally matching, slightly overhanging hood cover with densely faceted hollow baluster, surrounding pinnate frieze, h 26.5 cm overall, Glücksburg/Saxony ~1730, good condition, undamaged 0613 A formally almost identical goblet with a comparable cut in the monastery of St. Marienstern in Kamenz, cf.
