Colorless glass, blown and cut, cylindrical body with slightly flared stand ring and slightly raised disc foot with tear-off scar, wide, attached strap handle with rolled end, large, high oval medallion formed from floral palmettes on the front with stonemason at work and mason's tools, large flower tendrils with oval medallions on each side, in one medallion a house mark, the second inscribed and dated "Rüntz 1735", above the stand and below the lip a serrated border, original pewter mount with foot and lip cuff and relief lid, foundry mark to the lid, h 24.5 cm, Thuringia 1735, glass in good condition with signs of use, mount with signs of use, lid cracked at the base of the thumb catch 0625 Prov.: Collection Gottfried Wilhelm Butze (1821 - 1897, government councillor in Berlin), Johann Franz Wilhelm Butze (1857 - 1912, government councillor in Berlin and Arolsen), property of the heirs
