Zechliner Deckelpokal

Colorless glass, blown, cut, chased and partly blown, conical bowl on a jointed nodus shaft with hollow baluster, wide, slightly raised central disc foot with overcut tear-off mark in the shape of a sun, the bowl decorated with a biblical scene of Abraham sacrificing his son Isaac, above a praying angel surrounded by clouds, the base of the bowl, the baluster and the foot each with a tongue-shaped leaf frieze, ball frieze below the lip, tear-off scar on the base, probably original, slightly overhanging lid with hollow baluster with spherical decoration, surrounding frieze of scabbard-shaped leaves, spherical frieze on the rim of the lid, goblet h 20 cm, total h 29 cm, Berlin/Zechlin probably workshop Elias Roßbach ~1740, very good condition, undamaged 0602 The glass cutter Elias Roßbach (1700 - 1765) worked from 1729 in Berlin and Zechlin, from 1742 exclusively in Zechlin, the present goblet form was used several times in the workshop of Elias Roßbach, cf.: Brigitte Klesse 1973, Glassammlung Helfried Krug, vol.
