Potsdamer Becher "Allegorie der Standfestigkeit"

Colorless glass, blown, cut, cut and partly blown, slightly waisted beaker with faceted rim, the front of the wall with a round medallion surrounded by rocailles and tendrils with a knight on a column, above it an inscription band with the motto "per ardua virtus", on the back a crowned mirror monogram "EW" surrounded by vine leaves, below the lip a circumferential frieze with winged putti heads between pelmets, garlands and fruit bouquets, cut blossom (sunflower) in the base, h 7.5 cm, Potsdam ~1720, good condition, undamaged, minimal glass damage 0607 This typical beaker shape can be found in Potsdam until the middle of the 18th century.
