A metal inkwell box originating from the Indo-Persian culture around the period of the Qajar dynasty. This box features a gold/silver damascene design on its exterior accentuating a floral motif, with Farsi script on the lid. The interior showcases a purple felt liner on the underside of the lid as well as each compartment. It also contains the original inkwell with lid. Indo-Persia - CA. 18th/19th Century AD Dimensions: 10 x 3 1/4 x 2 3/4 in., (25.5 x 8 x 7 cm.) The box is in a very good condition overall, the gold/silver damascene is well-preserved. Expected signs of wear due to age.
