Description

LINE VAUTRIN (1913-1997). "Soleil à pointes n° 1" model created circa [1955]. Witch mirror with central circular frame in black Talosel. The circumference of the central circle is also in black Talosel, with amber-tinted mirror parts modeled and inlaid. The two rows of points in beige Talosel, not embossed on the back, with amber-tinted mirrored parts for the larger ones and anthracite for the smaller ones, shaped and inlaid. Original witch with slight convexity. Original back and moire. Work from the 1950s. Signed Line VAUTRIN on the back. D_23 cm. Please note: The use of two different colors of Talosel, black for the crown and pebble-beige for the tips, and the absence of embossing on the reverse of the tips, suggest a very early work by the artist on this model. Bibliography : Patrick Mauriès - Line Vautrin - Éditions Le Promeneur and Galerie Chastel-Maréchal. Paris 2004. Similar models and variations in size and color reproduced on the cover and on pages 70, 71, 76, 89, 105 and 115. Expert : Mr. Emmanuel Eyraud
