Cross potentate on a globe between A - [R] and V-II ♦ Depeyrot cf IV; 89, 36 Triens from Provence, probably Arles (1.19 g). Very rare coin. Trace of fold. Grainy blank. Fine. NOTICE Clotaire II, known as the Younger, was successor to Sigebert II, king of Neustria from 584 to 613 and king of the Franks from 613 to 629, after conquering the kingdom of Austrasia and the kingdom of Burgundy. His victory in 613 over Queen Brunehaut put an end to the long period of wars between Frankish kings, which had begun in 570, and whose two protagonists had been Clotaire's parents, Chilperic I and Frédégonde.
