She has "received the letters you wrote to me and together with the memoir and the letter from the royalty [Catherine de Medicis], which I am sending back to you so that you may see what she is telling me [...] I am not telling the king [Charles IX] anything about the interview, as it seems to me that there are no other proposals to be made". She wrote to the king through don Frances [don Frances de Ayala, Spanish ambassador to France]...

Over 90 biographies, including the emperors Charles V and Maximilian II, the kings of France Charles IX, Henri II, François II, Queen Catherine de Médicis, Philippe II, Pope Clément XIV, etc. The emblems include numerous coats of arms, and the biographies are sometimes an invaluable source of information on their owners, as for Onofrio Panvinio, offering a veritable bibliography of his work, or Richard Shelley and his role in Venice. Four titles and 145 emblems engraved in intaglio, including 17 on full page and 2 on double page (the latter slightly trimmed), after Domenico Zenoi, Nicolo Nelli and Gaspare Oselli.
