A FINE 19TH CENTURY PIETRA DURA GAMES COMPENDIUM the onyx casket with engraved brass strapwork mounts, the cover with four pietra dura roundels, each depicting a floral sprig, the hinged cover opening to reveal an interior with bone markers, counters and playing cards, on the underside of the lid are gilt-brass bezique and cribbage boards. 13cm high, 22cm wide, 15cm deep With a key. There are a few minor nibbles around the edge of the exterior of the box. The hinged lid opens and closes well. There is some wear to the interior trays but generally the box is in good condition commensurate with age and use.
