A FINE PAIR OF GEORGE II CAST SILVER CANDLESTICKS by William Skeen, London 1755, each detachable nozzle with shell corners, the knopped stems and bases boldly cast in the Rococo taste with scrolls and leaves. (2) 24cm high, 54.7 troy ounces gross The marks are crisply struck on the undersides. Each stands well and doesn't wobble. The sconces are unmarked and fit well. The candlesticks are generally in very good condition and are very handsome.
