A GEORGE III SILVER LIDDED TANKARD by Charles Wright, London 1772, of straight-sided, slightly tapering form with a moulded base, the cover with a scroll-form thumbpiece, the double-scroll handle with a scroll terminal, engraved with a large coat of arms. 21cm high, 37.7 troy ounces The cover and base are struck with a full set of clear marks. There is some age-related surface wear. The engraving is later. Generally in good condition.
