Fossey engraved by Colin and printed on Chine. At the end of the preface, a portrait of a woman by Pauquet printed on Chine. Bound in full blue morocco, ribbed spine, gilt edges, gilt lace inside. (Binding signed Gruel). Identical binding for the second volume, but in half morocco with corners. The entire work is mitered. Vicaire III-766. Limited edition of 550 copies. Volume 1 contains reproductions of Jean Foucquet's miniatures. Volume 2 contains a biography of Foucquet, a description of the works, a description of the miniatures reproduced in Volume 1, and a note on Foucquet's presumed works,....
