Description
JAPAN, 20th century. Pagoda-shaped butsudan with two doors. The hooks used to attach it to the wall represent fish. Inside the chapel, the seated Amida Buddha making the teaching gesture is surrounded by two standing bodhisattvas. All three rest on a frieze of lotus petals. Bronze with dark patina and cloisonné enamels. Height: 52.7 cm, width: 39.3 cm, depth: 15.2 cm. The decoration on the left door is damaged at the top. Some pitting.
