§ A CHINESE SILVER THREE-PIECE TEA SERVICE by Shang, Canton and Hong Kong, c.1900, retailed by Cum Shing, Canton, comprising a teapot, milk jug and twin-handled sugar bowl, each of globular form on a tapering collet foot, the teapot with a curved spout and C-scroll 'bamboo' handle fitted with ivory insulators, the hinged slightly domed lid surmounted by a detachable finial modelled as bamboo, the bodies of each embossed with a trailing Chinese dragon, with vacant circular cartouches, the milk and sugar with gilt interiors, each marked underneath with an artisan mark and retailer’s mark CS, a pair of sugar tongs with the artisan mark only en suite, in original fitted wooden case.
