LACLOCHE Frères. Crowned Buddha jabot pin in platinum (850 thousandths) and white gold (750 thousandths) with frosted colorless glass, surmounted by a crown. Work circa 1925. Signed Lacloche Frère. Number slightly visible (718?13?). Trace of a master mark. Dog head and eagle hallmarks. Height : 6 cm. PB : 5.6g Two similar examples are reproduced in the book Lacloche Joailliers by Laurence Mouillefarine and Véronique Ristelhueber. ed Norma. l'école des Arts des Joailliers. 2019. page 124. Founded in Madrid in 1875 by 4 brothers, the house opened branches in Biarritz, San Sebastian, Paris (rue de la Paix) and London. One of the most representative jewelers of the Art Deco period, the brothers created small, delicate platinum motifs on the themes of Egypt, the Middle East and Asia, which were very popular at the time. In particular, the Duchess Westminster's tiara will be the centerpiece of the house, and can be transformed into earrings, brooches and more. In 2019, the first Lacloche Frères exhibition brought together more than 72 pieces from private collections.
