Long and interesting correspondence on their association for trade in Senegal, of the same type as the previous lot: 3 letters and 2 invoices "to 164 hard gum bags loaded on behalf of our guinea operations in participation by the Penelope, addressed to Mr. D. Jay, merchant in Bordeaux, on the schooner l'Aurélie captain Cavayé". Details of sales, ships chartered, situation of trade in Senegal, establishment of new associations, etc. Charles HESSE, "commandant particulier de Gorée et dépendances" (from April 1824 to January 1832). Autograph letter signed to M. de Francheville, "commander of the brig Cautatère". 1 p. in-8. Gorée, June 14, 1826. Address on the back. He addresses a letter to the Intendant of Brest "containing the invoice for 8 pieces of wood from Cail-Cédras. Another invoice & the certificate of origin will be given to M. de Francheville later today [...]".
