OTTOMAN KORAN SIGNED BY MUSTAFA SAFWAT Arabic manuscript on paper, 309 leaves with three endpapers, each folio consisting of 15 lines in black ink in elegant naskh script. Sura titles in white within gilded cartouches, verse separations with gilded lozenges, marginal floral illumination, text framing fillets in red, black and gilded. Colophon signed "Al-Sayyid Mustafa Safwat min talamidh Hafiz al-Qur'an Al-Sayyid Ibrahim al-Fallahi". Bound in gilt-embossed brown morocco with lattice decoration. (Some dampening).
