German - Scalloped frame with sgraffito ornamentation (repro) Pear wood, stained brown, with ascending profile. (Probably 19th century). Inside and outside with wavy moldings. Coving in the corners with golden tendrils in sgraffito technique. Clear dimensions: 61 x 41.6 cm. Molding width: 9 cm. Outer dimensions: 78.1 x 58.7 cm. Slightly rubbed and bumped in places, one corner with a chip. Minor loss of pigment. Painting somewhat faded. Gilding slightly rubbed in places, some with tiny flaking. Tear nail holes all around verso. Taxation: Regelbesteuert (VAT: Regular Taxation)
