German - Classicist frame with rich decoration Oak wood, carved and gilded, with rising profile. (Around 1810/20). Inside with running foliage on the picture light. Sanded throat, followed by sinuous scrollwork and acanthus leaves emphasizing the corners. Outer strip with foliage. Clear dimensions: 43.5 x 33.2 cm. Molding width: 5.2 cm. Outer dimensions: 53.5 x 43.4 cm. Upper strip loose. Gilding slightly rubbed in places and somewhat cracked in places. Gilding slightly rubbed, with small flaking in places. A larger flake in one corner. Taxation: regular taxation (VAT)
