MODERN SCHOOL MOSSED TURTLE (Psammobates tentorius) (II/B) pre-Convention: carapace with gilded bronze metal hoop, including the cephalic part (head), mounted in a jewelry box, articulated carapace revealing the inner part of the dossière, pre-1970. Typical species of the Testudinidae family. Height: 5 cm, Length: 10 cm Sold as is. Species listed under the Washington Convention (CITES), European Community Regulation 338/97 of 09/12/1996 and the French Environment Code. Artist info: German painter, graphic artist and designer (1902 Netzschkau to 1944 near Montélimar), studied 1917-21 at the Plauen art school, then briefly as a designer in Berlin, created illustrations for the "Leipziger Illustrierte" and "Westermanns Monatshefte", sponsored by Hermine Reuß ältere Linie (1887-1947), the last wife of Kaiser Wilhelm II, 1929 major study trip to the Orient (via Venice, Turkey and Israel to Egypt), from 1933 teacher at the art school in Plauen, in the 2nd World War soldier in France (painting in the USA).
