After studying at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, Blaise Desgoffe became the painter of weapons and precious Renaissance objects. His delicate art, without stiffness, his accurate colors made him the "portraitist of collections", preserving their memory or multiplying for their owner the pleasure of possession and fixing for posterity the ideal image of a passion.
