Agostino Veneziano (c. 1490 Venice - Rome after 1536) - Hercules and Antaeus Copper engraving after Raphael on laid paper with watermark "Anker". (1533). 24.2 x 17.8 cm (sheet size). Bartsch, XIV (Raimondi), no. 316. Excellent, richly contrasting and lively impression. Trimmed close to the platemark, with traces of a small margin above and below. - Isolated, not disturbing spots. Upper and lower left corner carefully trimmed, upper framing line in the upper left corner inconspicuously redrawn, otherwise in very good condition. Provenance: William Sharp (mid-19th century), Manchester, with collector's paraphe on verso (Lugt 2650). Taxation: differential taxation (VAT: Margin Scheme)ne ony lots.
