There are 2 pieces by Ronsard in the Tragédies. A native of Maine and friend of Ronsard, Robert Garnier (c. 1545-1590) drew much of his inspiration from the great ancient playwrights. The volume, bound with the collector's own number and thus put together by him, brings together all of Robert Garnier's tragedies. Washed copy. An ink stain on folio 14. J. P.
