Rombout Verhulst, attributed to Portrait of a man Terracotta, full-round, hollowed out on the back in the lower area and the hair only cursorily shaped. The representative bust shows a man with long hair wearing a fur-trimmed coat, a richly buttoned jacket and a Spanish collar. Its design is similar to works from 1660/1670 by Rombout Verhulst, who was particularly influenced by Artus Quellinus and was active in Amsterdam and the northern Netherlands. Front right corner of the plinth loose. Fine crack in the left fur collar. Bumps with minor losses. 62 x 58 x 32 cm. Provenance Formerly private collection. - Belgian collection.
