Minnekästchen Lime with dark patina, forged iron. Of plank construction, nailed, with two hinges. Closed box lock with hasp on the front. Two opposing griffins on the lid, circumferential motto in Gothic letters. Older paper label with inventory number on the bottom. Minor traces of previous insect infestation, good condition in keeping with its age. H 8.5, W 17.5, D 13 cm. Upper Rhine, attributed to the first half of the 15th century. Literature Cf.
