Jonas Laminit
Augsburg lidded tankard Silver, partially gilded. The cylindrical body with cast volute handle and split thumb rest above a stepped foot bulge. The openwork mantle of the wall with a chased and chased round dance of cupids playing with a billy goat. The domed hinged lid decorated with chased shells; a small baluster knob with ornamental foliage as a finial. Marks: BZ Augsburg for 1651 - 1654, MZ Jonas Laminit (c. 1650 - 1690, Seling no. 0590, 1560), tremolier engraving. H 16 cm, weight 552 g. Augsburg, Jonas Laminit, 1651 - 1654.
